Susan Elizabeth Munz

It is with great sadness, Susan passed peacefully with family by her side, in her home on March 31st. Predeceased by her husband, Horst Eugene Munz. Survived by her daughters Judy (Brent), Linda (Scott) son Roy and grandson Brandon and many relatives. Born in Treviagno, Italy she immigrated to Trail, B.C. at age 18 years. Susan later moved to Vancouver where she met and married the love of her life, Gene, in 1956 (passed 2004). Susan was a wonderful loving wife and mother always putting family first. One of her passions was cooking and having family and friends enjoy her wonderful dinners especially her infamous spaghetti. She appreciated light banter and jokes with colleagues and patrons during her 27 year employment at Sears. Her family and everyone who knew Susan enjoyed her quick wit and sense of humour, which she continued to express throughout her final days with us. A highlight of Susan’s life was spending time with her loving grandson who gave her much pleasure and joy (they always shared a special wink between them). Family would like to express a deep thank-you to all those involved with Mom’s care. Service will be held at Our Lady of Mercy Church (7455 10th Ave. Bby, V3N 2S1) on April 9th at 11:00am. Celebration of Life will follow at Ocean View Funeral Home (4000 Imperial Str. Bby). In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Our Lady of Mercy Church or the Covenant House.
