Marion Lockhart

Anna Marion Lockhart, age 93, of Bertram, Texas passed away with her family at her side on October 9, 2019. Marion was born May 24, 1926, in Casper, Wyoming. She was the daughter of Peter Frandsen and Anna Kirstina Jensen Frandsen. Her father was born in South Dakota and her mother was a naturalized citizen of Denmark. She was proud of her Danish ancestry. Marion was married to Eldridge “Lock” Lockhart in 1945 and they had two children, Kenneth Craig Lockhart and Lynnda Kristina Lockhart who survive her. Marion met Lock in Hawaii where she worked for the Navy Department as a secretary. She also later worked as a secretary in Inyokern, California and as a psychiatric technician in Denver, Colorado. After living for several years in Colorado and Wyoming, she moved with Lock to a ranch outside Bertram which they named Marlock Ranch and helped manage a working cattle and horse ranch. She also was an avid lover and raiser of cat show Birmans. She also enjoyed arrowhead hunting and the adventures of the outdoors. Marion was a kind and gentle soul. She always had a deep love for Lock and her children. She will be deeply missed by her family and the people she touched. Marion was preceded in death by her husband Lock in 1999. She is survived by her two children and close friend and family Launa Rupert and Joanie Frandsen.
