Audrey Edith Norrish

We are devastated to announce that after complications from a bad fall we lost our very much loved Mum/Gram/Great Gram/Aunt and Cousin Audrey, just 3 months before her 100th birthday. Audrey will be greatly missed by her children Bonnie McLean, Pat (Malcolm) Page and Bill (Colleen) Norrish; her grandchildren Tammy, Wendy, Kevin, Jennifer, Debbie, Brian and Kate, their partners, and her 13 great-grandchildren. Audrey was born and grew up in Montreal. She married Bill Norrish in 1941 and was a very loving mother and wife. After Bill retired, they spent summers at their Vermont cottage and winters in Florida before moving to Niagara On The Lake. Unfortunately Bill passed away shortly afterwards, so Audrey decided to move to Calgary in 1990 to be closer to family. Audrey was a talented artist who created many beautiful paintings and china pieces; and crocheted afghans and clothes for us. We are blessed to have these to admire and cherish as we remember her. Last summer, 42 family members gathered with her to celebrate her life and her 99th birthday. She was thrilled to see them all, created new memories and shared her memories from long ago. This is a very special memory we will have forever. Per Audrey’s request, there will not be a formal service.
