Joseph Octave Morigeau

Joseph “Joe” Octave Morigeau, born August 17, 1923 in Evergreen, Alberta, passed away peacefully at the AgeCare Midnapore on June 4, 2018 at the age of 94 years. Joe is remembered by his eight children, Bill (Shirley), Joe, Lois (Don), Terry (Barb), Pat, Kim (Zeke), Chere (Mike), and Merrilee; twelve grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and his brothers Ralph and Howard (Yvette). He was predeceased by his loving wife of 70 years, Georgina, on March 7, 2016, his parents, infant daughter, grandson and two sisters. Joe was a man of toughness and purpose mixed with humility and grace. He loved the outdoors and he passed that love onto his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A private family graveside service will be held. A Celebration of Life for both Joe and Georgina Morigeau will be held at SOUTH CALGARY FUNERAL CENTRE, 12700 Macleod Trail South (at Lake Fraser Gate), on Saturday, July 28, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations being made in Joe’s memory directly to a charity of your choice.
