Hendrik “Henk” Leusink

Passed away peacefully, with family by his side at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital, in his 84th year. Beloved husband of Maria “Rita” for 57 years. Loving father of Kim Sutton (Ron) and Doug Leusink (Glenda). Proud Opa to grandchildren Jamie Sutton, Jennifer Haror (Ricky), Kirsten Leusink and Kayla Leusink and great-grandson Huxton Haror. Henk will also be lovingly remembered by his sister Thera “Thea” Derks (Peter) and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by his parents Hendrik and Wilhelmina Leusink and his brother Herman Leusink (Ria). Henk and his wife spent many happy years with family and friends at their trailer in Port Elgin enjoying campfires, golf and fishing. Thank-you to the CMH Staff of the emergency and medical floors for the multiple times Henk needed their care. A special thank you to Dr. J. Mathew for her loving and supportive care to Henk and the family. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the T. Little Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, Cambridge (519-623-1290) on Thursday, February 21st from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. The Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Clements Catholic Church, 745 Duke Street, Cambridge on Friday, February 22, 2019 at 11 a.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations made to Cambridge Memorial Hospital specifically for the purchase of air beds would be appreciated by his family.
