Marjorie Jean Ball

Passed away peacefully, at Fairview Mennonite Home, on June 6, 2019 in her 95th year. Born July 16, 1924 in Preston, Ontario. Reunited with her beloved husband of 68 years, Robert George Ball (2015). Marjorie was a well-known, lifelong resident of Preston. She worked for more than 25 years at the Canada Trust on King Street. She was affectionately known as “Webby”, having been raised from a young age by her grandmother, Elizabeth Webster. For many years, Marjorie enjoyed meeting up with a group of close friends at the Chelsea Bun coffee shop. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Gary (Mary Ellen) Ball of Port Dover, Ontario and Nancy (Burk) Gronau of Kitchener, Ontario, four grandchildren; Alyson Lindsay (Robbin), Heather McKechnie (Justin), Jenny Ball (Kenyale Lowery), and Justin Gronau and five great-grandchildren. As per her wishes, cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made in Marjorie’s memory to the Parkinson’s Society of Canada through Barthel Funeral Home (519) 653-3251.
