Peter Blane Robertson Hood

In his 82nd year, Peter passed away suddenly at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Saturday April 27, 2019. Born the son of Grace and William Hood in Kilmarnock, Ayrshire, Scotland, Peter immigrated to Canada in 1958. Cherished husband to Margaret for 57 years and loving father to son David, daughter-in law, Linda and adoring grandfather to two wonderful grandchildren (“I love them to bits!”), Nathan and Brianna. Peter was predeceased by his parents Grace and William, sister Wilma Kirkbride, brother in-law Walker Kirkbride and brother Jim, all of Scotland. He was an active member of Central Presbyterian Church for 61 years. Peter was proud to serve as a Waterloo Regional Police Officer, as well as a 25 year member of the Waterloo Regional Police Colour Party. A celebration of his life will be held at Central Presbyterian Church, 7 Queen's Square, Cambridge (in Galt) on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to T. Little Funeral Home (519-623-1290). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Central Presbyterian Church Preservation fund or to a charity of choice.
