Harriett Monroe Tweedy passed away on March 1, 2018 in Dallas, Texas after a battle with cancer. She was born in Carthage, Missouri on June 1, 1933 to Arthur and Cuma Wigger Monroe.
Harriett had a life-long love of aviation and spent most of her adult life working for Braniff International as a flight attendant. After leaving Braniff International, Harriett worked for other airlines as a trainer.
Harriett had her pilots license and enjoyed flying. The first plane she flew was a Luscombe. Harriett had a special love for all animals.
Harriett is survived by her sister, Annie L. Hood of Carthage, Missouri and three nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Rhoton Funeral Home
1511 S. I-35e Carrollton, Texas 75006.
