Ruby Jean Smith

Ruby Jean Hill Smith, 77, of Ooltewah, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2019. Ruby was born on March 3, 1942 in Madison, Tennessee to the late Chester and Ruby Hill. She was preceded in death by her son, Kevin Smith. She was raised in Goodlettsville, Tennessee. She later moved to Chattanooga and earned a Bachelor and Master’s degree in Psychology from UTC. Ruby was a Psychological Examiner, retiring from a private practice. She also did testing for Bradley County School system and Boyd Buchanan. She was a member of East Brainerd Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Billy Smith; daughter, Kimberly Smith; grandchildren, Christofer (Kaci) Roy and Bailey (Beau) Anderson; great-grandsons, Ayden and Lincoln; and brother, John (Diane) Hill. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 PM on Friday, May 10, 2019 at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at the funeral home with Minister John Cupp officiating. Entombment will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens East.
