Herbert William Kraushar

Herbert William Kraushar was born in Lipton Saskatchewan. His family began with his marriage to Eleanor, with four children (Lavonne, Terry, Sharon, and Grant) soon following. After life took a turn with the loss of his wife and youngest son Grant, he moved to Vancouver where he met and married Ida, his wife of 62 years. They welcomed a son (Mervin) and foster son (Peter) into their family. Herb loved fishing; even with his single arm there were few people who could land a salmon better than him. Herb passed away peacefully on December 23, 2018 at the age of 95, knowing that he was going home to be with his maker. Herb is survived by his wife Ida, his children, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held at Cross Connection Church in Chilliwack on Tuesday, January 8 at 1:00.
