Thomas Leroy Bunch

Thomas Leroy Bunch, age 74, of Chula Vista, California passed away on Friday August 2, 2019. Thomas was born August 5, 1944 in Bismarck, North Dakota. Thomas graduated from Western High School and received a Master's degree from Coleman University. On September 6, 1966 Thomas married the love of his life, Gloria Ann. They were blessed with forty-six years of marriage and two sons; Kurt and Derek. Thomas served in the US Army in Viet Nam, earning a Purple Heart among other distinguished metals during his service. He then had a successful career working as a software engineer for federal civil service for thirty-seven years. For leisure time, Thomas had a passion for flying, photography, computers and most of all spending quality time with his family. Thomas was predeceased by his loving wife Gloria Bunch in September of 2012. He is survived by his sons; Kurt Bunch and Derek Bunch. His legacy includes four grandchildren; Ashley, Silvia, Leland and Riley Bunch. A visitation for Thomas will be held Sunday, August 11, 2019 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel Chula Vista, 753 Broadway, Chula Vista, CA 91910. His interment will be at Ft. Rosecrans National Cemetery on August 21, 2019 at 10:30 AM, where he will be placed to rest next to his beloved spouse.
