Hailie Marie Witt

Hailie Marie Witt, of Clinton Twp., passed away on June 8, 2019 at the age of 16, after a very brave and courageous battle with brain cancer. Beloved daughter of Mark and Stephanie Witt; adored sister of Tyler Keairnes, Matthew Witt, Lauren McCormack, and Luke Witt; dear niece of Jennifer (Joe) Mullins, Clayton (Stephanie) Keairnes, Jarrod(Deborah) Keairnes, Brian (Marcia) Keairnes: cousin of Samuel (Amelia) Witt; granddaughter of William (Marci) Witt and George Keairnes, Jr.; great-granddaughter of George (Maria) Keairnes, Sr. She is also survived by many cousins, extended family members and friends. Hailie was preceded in passing by her step-mother Mindy Witt and step-grandfather Walter Green. She was born on April 20, 2003 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. A freshman at L'anse Creuse North High School, Hailie loved anything Disney and Hello Kitty and her dogs, Chico and Rey. She bravely battled and fought brain cancer three times in six years, gaining many supporters along the way with the Jessie Rees Foundation (NEGU.Org), the Rainbow Connection (RainbowConnection.Org) and the Still Brave Foundation (StillBrave.Org). Her favorite colors were pink, along with gold (support for childhood cancer awareness) and grey (supporting brain cancer awareness). The family will greet friends from 11:00am until time of memorial service at 2:00pm on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Rd., Clinton Twp. The family kindly asks that memorial donations may be made to the family in honoring Hailie's desire to show appreciation for the kindness and care that her caregivers had shown her and her family in the past years.
