Ivanell Louise Galland

Ivanell Louise Galland, 88, of Evergreen, Louisiana, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at Country Village Care in Angleton, Texas. Ivanell was born on October 26, 1930, in Church Point, Louisiana, to the late Eddie and Elizabeth Richard. Ivanell married the love of her life, Ernest, and together they raised six wonderful children. When she was not spending time with her family, Ivanell was a lunch lady for Lake Jackson Junior High; she enjoyed serving the children of our community in this capacity. In her spare time, Ivanell enjoyed gardening, coloring, reading, spending time with all animals and picking pecans. Ivanell will be reunited with her parents; sons, Bryan David Galland and Gerald Wayne Galland; and numerous siblings. Those left to carry Ivanell’s memory on is her wonderful husband of 70 years, Ernest; her daughters, Rhonda (Steve) Rouse, Regina Pennington, Robin (Bill) Keenen, and Renee (Mike) Beddingfield; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A Gathering to Share Memories of Ivanell will be held at Restwood Funeral Home on Sunday, June 30, from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Acting as Pallbearers will be Philip Edward Pennington, Alan Elton Pennington, Kevin Smith, Bubba Buchanan, Mike Beddingfield, Troy Beddingfield, Bill Keenen, and Jeremy Simpson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Liam Smith, Cameron Smith, Colton Buchanan, Avery Pennington, Kyle Pennington, and Ethan Jones. Also an Honorary Pallbearer but unable to attend because of his service in the United States Marine Corp, Travis Buchanan. A Celebration of Ivanell’s Life will be held at Restwood Funeral Home on Monday, July 1, at 10:00 am, with Pastor B.F. Flowers officiating.
