Ray August Meunier

Ray August Meunier, 89, of Merritt Island, FL, passed away June 27, 2019, at Solaris Healthcare Merritt Island. Ray was born in Trinity, Alabama, on January 4, 1930. He was raised in Indiana and Kentucky. He graduated from Louisville Male High School in Louisville, Kentucky in 1953. Ray was a retired business owner who had also worked at Climatrol, Stevens, and Wood, and T&C Aluminum screening companies. Ray proudly served in the United States Air Force, 1948-1952, with duty in the Berlin Air Lift and Korean Conflict. Ray was the son of the late George Vinney Meunier and the late Marie (nmn) Keller Meunier. He was predeceased in 2012, by his wife of 54 years, Anna Clemmons Meunier. Ray is survived by his daughter, Leisa Meunier Balch (Steven) of Merritt Island; son, Marc Ray Meunier of Cocoa; grandson, Brenton Andrew Meunier of Rockledge; granddaughter, Stephanie Richelle Balch and great-grandson Wesley of Merritt Island; two nephews, Daniel Poston and Michael Poston; and one niece, Amy Jo Carroll. He was a former member of Riverside Presbyterian Church, Cocoa Beach, FL. The Family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 from 10:00 - 11:00 am at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home, Cocoa, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00. Interment with Military Honors at Brevard Memorial Park. The family expresses gratitude to the staff of Solaris Healthcare Merritt Island and the staff of Vitas Healthcare for the care and compassion provided to Ray and his family during his illness.
