Betty Henry Kanipe

Betty Henry Kanipe, age 81, of Claremont, NC, passed away on June 10, 2019 at Catawba Valley Living in Rock Barn in Claremont, NC. Born March 22, 1938 in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Herman Lee and Johnsie Minerva Henry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandchild, Matthew Smith. She is survived by daughters, Loren Miller and husband, Lane “Rocky” of Claremont, Liane Isenhour and husband, Wesley of Claremont; sister, Loretta Gilbert and husband, Bill of Claremont; grandchildren, Andrew Smith and wife, Shannon, Maddy Isenhour, and Macy Isenhour; great-grandchildren, Nikolas Smith and Kassian Smith. Betty was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, and an office manager for 28 years for Dr. William Inscoe, DVM. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12, 2019, at the Drum Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Haddock officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church Cemetery in Claremont. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 p.m. – 12:45 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Humane Society of Catawba County, 3224 20th Ave. SE, Hickory, NC 28602, or St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 3216 W.
