Donald Frederick Vollmer, age 91, died June 3, 2019 of Alzheimer’s Disease.
Born Feb 17, 1928 in Holloway, MN.
Survived by his Wife of 61 years, Lois Bahl Vollmer; and Children, James Vollmer (Mary), Rebecca Allen, Amy Brunner (Robert); five Grandchildren, Keeley Vollmer Tholen (Andy), Daniel Vollmer, Heidi Jo Allen, Trent Brunner, and Renae Brunner; and his Brother, Reuben Vollmer.
Preceded in death by his Parents, Rudolph and Anna Schultz Vollmer, Marlys Mesenbrink, Edith Schliep, and Vera (Susie) Schultz.
He served in the army and was stationed in Germany during the Korean War. Don loved learning and enjoyed a long career teaching science in the Anoka-Hennepin Schools. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, and he enjoyed reading, traveling, and dancing with his wife.
