Bernard "Bernie" Matte

With his family by his side at Cornwall Hospice on Friday, July 12, 2019 at the age of 63 years. Beloved husband of the late Mary (née Lefave) and former husband to Diane (née Campeau). Loving father of Claude (Julie Savoie) and Bernie (Helen Marsolais). Cherished grandfather of Nathan Matte. Loving brother of Ellen (Gray) Estelle (Christopher) Diane (Roger) Jacqueline (Aubrey) Lucille (Roger) Maurice (Patricia) and Michael . Predeceased by his parents Augustin Matte and Elise Matte (née Patnaude). Bernie was a proud Walmart employee, working in Logistics for the past 20yrs. We would like to welcome all his Walmart family to celebrate in his memory. (Smile and think of him "Welcome to Walmart"). Resting at Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes, 20 Seventh Street West, (613-932-8482) on Friday, July 19 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and Saturday, July 20 from 9:30 am. Mass of Christian Funeral will be Celebrated in Sainte-Thérèse-de-Lisieux Church on Saturday at 11 am. Followed by cremation. In Memoriam, donations to Cornwall Hospice appreciated.
