Margaret Dorothy Morris

Margaret Morris passed away peacefully at the age of 95. Margaret spent her last 3.5 months in the Comox Valley Hospital having lots of family and friends visiting her. Margaret was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Barrie, her son in law, Donald Annand and granddaughter Jacqueline Annand. Margaret is survived by her twin brother Edward Morson and sister Shirley Foreman. Mom’s family was always a huge part of her life and she will be deeply missed by her children: Margo Edwards (Ted) Ottawa, Sandra Morris (Tony Olivero) Courtenay, Barrie Morris (Roberta) Ladysmith, Christine Annand (Jim Barry) Courtenay and Carol Knutson Campbell River, 9 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Margaret was born and raised in North Vancouver. She married Barrie on November 23, 1943. Being the wife of an Armed Forces Member took her all over Canada and Europe. Their last transfer was to the Comox Valley where they retired. Mom was a very social person, making friends easily and having many throughout her life. She loved to travel, enjoyed the sun and beaches, spending many winters in Hawaii and summers on the sand spit in Comox. Mom loved her sports. She played softball and bowled but her favourite was golf. She was a member of the Comox Golf Club for many years. She was a fan of all sports, watching them on TV. Margaret will be greatly missed by family and friends. The family would like to thank Dr. Anderson for his care of their Mom.
