Elizabeth "Betty" C. DeBaie

DEBAIE, (Coulas) Elizabeth - 83 of Dartmouth, NS. We celebrate with joy a life well lived of Elizabeth “Betty” DeBaie. Born on Nov 4, 1935 in Wilno, Ontario. She was the daughter of Anne and Vincent Coulas. She was predeceased by her husband Donald and her siblings Helen, Mary, Theresa, Bronis, Edward, Benny, Nicholas, and Florence. Betty loved cooking and feeding anyone who came to visit. Her enthusiasm with food and family was unsurpassed. She enjoyed spending time with all her friends and family. She was very gifted in picking a craft of any kind and making it a masterpiece. She enjoyed the outdoors by gardening, fishing and picking berries. Her love of flower baskets and hummingbirds was well known. Betty leaves behind her daughter Deborah, two sons, Terry (Cheryl) and Barry (Carolyn), sister Agnes. She was blessed with six grandchildren Stephanie, Brandon, Alicia, Corey , Ryan and Jarrod; and lovingly added Jamie Mason, Brianna and Alicia Belliveau, 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Betty passed peacefully at the QEII on April 6th, 2019. Many thanks to Dr. Christy Bussey, the staff on 8.2 and 8.4 as well as the great staff at Ivany House Northwood -Bedford for taking care of her needs over the last year. A Celebration of Life service will take place at 11am on Saturday, April 13, in A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home. Burial will take place in St. Ann’s Cemetery Debaies Cove, NS at a later date.
