Florence Madeleine Smart

SMART, Florence Madeleine “Maddy” – 85 of Dartmouth passed away peacefully surrounded by family on April 23, 2019. Born in Dartmouth, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Florence (Hardy) Parker. Maddy’s greatest accomplishment was her family. She was a long time member of Woodlawn United Church and a member of the UCW. She enjoyed Saturday night cards with her children and Tuesday afternoon in the church hall. She looked forward to watching sports of all kinds and game shows. She is survived by her daughters; Nancy (Don) Sims, Irene (Bob) MacMillan, Donna Smart, Brenda Smart, sons: Bob (Debbie), Don (Lina), Brian, Dave (Helene), nineteen grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her loving husband; Bob, daughter; Linda, daughter in-law; Cathy (Brian). A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11am on Monday, April 29, 2019 in Woodlawn United Church, Rev. Mary Lynn Whyte officiating. Reception to follow with a private family burial in Fairview Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: Woodlawn United Church or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
