Margaret was a life long member and volunteer at Christ Church and a volunteer at the Grace Maternity Hospital and IWK Children’s Hospital for 20 years. She was a member of the IODE, Saint George’s Society, British North American Society and Royal Commonwealth Society. She and Vic were also members of the Clan Keith Society and Brightwood Golf Club. The family has many memories of them entertaining and teaching/playing bridge. Although born in England and raised in Halifax, Peggy was a Dartmouthian at heart. She and Vic shared a love of dogs and they had many 4 footed friends over the years. They mentored university students from abroad, providing a family atmosphere. Peggy took care of her family and enjoyed many cups of tea and toast with them. Peggy passed away on what would have been her husband Victor’s 100 birthday. Special thanks to personal care workers Denis and Nancy MacKeigan and special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Dartmouth General Hospital. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 5 from 2-4pm & 6-8pm in A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home. Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 6 at 2pm in Christ Church, Dartmouth.
