Margaret passed away peacefully on April 12, 2019 in St. Vincent Nursing Home, Halifax. Margaret and Jean (deceased) were twins born in Sydney on June 10, 1931. A daughter of the late Ralph and Hazel (White) Bayne. The family moved to Halifax shortly after their birth. Eventually ending up in Berwick where she spent her youth and teens. She attended Public and High School in Berwick. She was a very outgoing girl and loved baseball. She was that good that she was elected to the Berwick Hall of Fame for baseball. After High School Margaret attended Acadia University where she met friends who have remained in close contact to this day. Margaret met and married William Jackson (deceased) and had three sons, John (Samantha) Jackson, Michael (Theresa) Jackson and Ronald Jackson. Margaret was blessed with five grandchildren whom she loved all dearly, Rhys, Riley, Evan, Greg and Paige. Margaret and William separated and Margaret went back to work as a Medical Secretary in Dartmouth. From the Dartmouth Medical Centre she moved to Dalhousie Medical Centre and continued to excel in her work. She retired in 1996 and was mostly a stay at home lady. However she loved bridge and was introduced to Bob whom she married on December 19, 2003. They had 15+ years of happiness. They did a lot of travelling, to Virginia, Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, United Kingdom, Ireland and extensively around Nova Scotia. With this second marriage her family increased by five with stepdaughter, Anne (Greg Layther) and Rob and grandchildren, Imogen and Richard Layther. Cremation has taken place and funeral arrangements are under the direction of A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home.
