Mrs Chriselda M (Buckman) Pyne

It is with great sadness that the family of Chriselda Myrtle Pyne announces her passing on November 20, 2018 at the age of 99. Born in Tiverton she was a daughter of the late Hilda Young and step-father Alvah Young. Chriselda was an avid bingo player, she loved her bingo and buddies who always wished her well. Chriselda was active and winning bingo right up until 3 weeks ago, winning the twoonie jar worth over $1000.00. Always asking, “are we going to bingo again tonight?” Chriselda was the secretary for many years with her step-father Alvah Young and Petite Lobster until the age 80. Chriselda was a road runner if the car was going she was in it, always asking, “Do you have my money purse?” Chriselda loved all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren she was very proud of them all. She will be missed by her special cat Buttercup. She is survived by her daughter, Heather (Kendall) Crocker; grandsons, David (Amanda), Richard (Melissa), Quentin (Sarah) and granddaughter, Melanie (Devon), New Brunswick; 10 great-grandchildren, Brianna, Claudia, Braegha, Daysen, Mackenzie, Phoebe, Ashlee, Bryce, Cayden and Rhys. We were hoping Chriselda woud see her 11th great grandchild but missed his birth date by 2 months and also her great-great grandchild who will be here in April. She loved all her family members and friends especially Sylvia, Nancy and Vivian. She was predeceased by her mother, Hilda; step-father, Alvah Young, her husband Manford and son Michael. Visitation will be Friday November 23 from 5pm to 9pm from the Tiverton United Baptist Church and from where funeral service will be held at 2pm Saturday, November 24. Rev. Tim Long will officiate with burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Tiverton. Donations to her memory can be made to Society of Friends of Ferals, Digby area for her love of cats.
