Linda "Janet" Isles

In loving memory of Janet Isles –Age 63 of Bear River who passed away peacefully on May 16, 2019 in the comfort of Wendy’s arms, her sister and best friend who stood by her side for the last seven months. She was born in Digby on July 26, 1955 to the late Reginald and Annie (Chute) Handspiker. Janet enjoyed kayaking; going back to camp for days at a time, gardening with Sue Comeau and playing baseball. She was an avid cranberry picker and blueberry picker, who could out pick just about everybody. She was always looking after someone; she loved her dog, Sebastien and enjoyed creating ice sculptures with her friend, Shirley Isles. She loved to read and was always baking for someone or a function. Janet was a member of the Three River Pastoral Church for many years. She is survived by her husband, Michael of forty years; son, Jason; brothers, Robert (Simone), Pembroke ON, Merrill, Lively ON; Wayne (Ginny), Quispamsis, NB; Brian (Eva) Randwick, Australia; sisters, Pat (Barry), Pembroke ON; Carolyn (Robert), Waldec West, NS; Wendy (Kevin), Bear River, NS also many cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides Janet’s parents she was predeceased by sister, Judy; brothers, Vernon and Peter. Funeral service will be 1 pm Tuesday May 21 (upstairs) at the Bear River Fire Hall, with Rev.
