Lena W Ostashek

Early in the morning of Tuesday, May 15, 2018, Matushka Lena Ostashek of Lamont, Alberta peacefully passed away. She will be forever remembered by her sons Nick, Mel (Regina), Bob (Pat); daughter Olga Hunka; her loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her loving husband Very Reverend William Ostashek; grandsons Darryl and Donald; daughter-in-law Lydia; son-in-law Dick Hunka; parents Wasyl and Raifta Ungurian and her siblings. A Prayer Service will be held at Hainstock’s Funeral Home & Crematorium, 9810-34 Avenue NW, Edmonton, Alberta on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at 6:00 pm. Divine Liturgy and Funeral Service at St. Michael’s Russo Orthodox Church, Sachava (3 miles south of Andrew) on Monday, May 21, 2018 at 10:00 am. Interment to follow at Holy Ascension Russo Orthodox Church Cemetery, Wasel, Alberta. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a charity of donor’s choice.
