Louisa Clara Goomannee

Louisa "Maya" Clara Goomannee, at the age of ninety five, of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, passed away on May 31, 2018. Maya was born in Beau Bassin, Mauritius on July 4, 1922. Maya was married to Balroop Goomannee in 1946; they were married until his passing in 1974. Maya is survived by her children Amrita (Pradeep) Thakkar, Harrish (Wonsim), Mira (Jean-Claude) Bachelot and Vina (Vijay) Tirvengadum; grandchildren Daren, Gavin, Jean-Luc, Nischal and Shashi, and great-granchildren Elliot and Harry. Maya is preceded in death by her siblings Anita, Bella, Edna, Francis, Margaret and Sylvia.
