Donna Mae Beaugrand

Donna M. Beaugrand, 68 of Kewadin, passed away Saturday, Aug. 24, 2019 at Munson Medical Center. Donna was born on Feb. 11, 1951 in Traverse City, MI. to William and Audrey (Swain) Kaiser. She was a Kewadin resident her entire life, and graduated from Elk Rapids Cherryland High School in 1969. Donna was employed at the Giant Way store in Traverse City for over 20 years as a shipping and receiving clerk. Some of the things that she enjoyed were watching the hummingbirds, being outdoors, doing embroidery, reading, and attending to her “Fairy Garden” which had several unique ornaments, and listening to WTCM with Jack O’Malley on the radio. One of most memorable vacations was taking a vacation to Graceland. All of her activities aside, the most important thing to Donna was her family. She was very protective of them, and they were her world. She loved them all equally, however, it was mentioned that her granddaughter Jenna “Bubba” held a special place in heart. She also enjoyed attending Jenna’s sporting events when possible. Donna is survived by her children Jennifer Thompson and Jeremy Beaugrand, both of Kewadin, her granddaughter Jenna Thompson; Mother, Audrey Kaiser; siblings Bonnie Thomas, Penny, Billy, and Jeffrey (Diana) Kaiser, and Rebecca Long, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father William Kaiser. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Covell Funeral Home, 312 Pine St., Elk Rapids, Pastor Howard Harvey officiating. Visitation will begin at noon until the time of service. Interment Maple Grove Cemetery. A funeral luncheon will be held after the services at the Kewadin United Methodist Church.
