Genevieve B Harris

Genevieve B. Harris, 91, of Evansville, passed away, Saturday, May 5, 2012, at Heritage Center. She was born February 22, 1921, in Buckskin, IN. She was a member of Zion United Church of Christ in Elberfeld, IN. She enjoyed watching pro-basketball, working crossword puzzles, gardening, working with her flowers and square dancing. Genevieve was preceded in death by her husband, William; and parents, Herman and Daisy Frevert. She is survived by her daughter, Rev. Brenda Wick (Wayne) of Princeton; sons, Gary Harris (Linda) and Dean Harris (Sheila), both of Evansville; grandchildren, Scott and Todd Wathen, Brian and Ronnie Harris and Andrea Beran; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Veronica, Asher and Ayden Wathen, Callie and Sara Bailey, Johna and Tristen Harris and Austin and Brady Beran. Services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Rev. Rick Bender, with burial in Zion United Church of Christ Cemetery. Friends may visit Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
