Karen Ann Leas

Karen Ann Leas, 66, of Evansville, IN, passed away Friday, May 10, 2019 at her home. She was born May 31, 1952, in Evansville, IN to the late Martin Oscar and Marjorie A. (Benner) Manning. Karen was a nurse at Braun’s Nursing Home where she had worked for over 25 years. She was a caretaker at heart and would always help others before herself. Karen was incredibly giving and loving. She adored her cats and found joy in taking care of the neighborhood cats. Karen always enjoyed her annual trip with her best friend Gail and going to the movies with her son. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Evelyn K. Manning. Karen is survived by her son, Dan Leas of Evansville, IN; best friend Gail Boyd; and her beloved cats, Tipper, Little O, Boo, Alice and Luna. A Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Ave. Memorial contributions may be made to Another Chance for Animals, 2808 N.
