Mamie "Niecy" Green (Williams)

Mamie "Niecy" was the oldest daughter of the late Charlie and Lizzie Williams. She was the sister to nine siblings; a wife to Wilbert Green; mother to Wilbert Jr., Marvin (who preceeded her in death) and Sonia (Sandy); grandmother to Micaiah, Diamonte, J.Michael, Adia, & Myion; as well as an aunt and friend to many. She was born June 24, 1943 in Morgan City, Mississippi and departed this life on Tuesday, October 2, 2019 in Maywood, Illinois. Rest In Peace Niecy you will be dearly missed. Please join my brother, Wilbert Green (Jr.), and I in celebrating the homegoing of our Mom, Mamie "Niecy" Green (Williams). We are not having a traditional funeral service, as she would rather have people laughing & dancing versus crying and mourning. Therefore, we have planned a wonderful Celebration of Life Event with great food & drinks, DJ & dancing, the sharing of memories with videos and pictures taken over the last several years to memorialize her as we created new memories while she was losing them moment by moment. Guests will be allowed to share how she touched their lives as well. Please also feel free to share any of your memories of her.
