Isabel R. Hicks

Isabel R. Hicks,88, gained her wings, Monday June 3rd, 2019 at 12:00am in the city of West Covina where she resided. Daughter born to Maria Del Refugio Murillo, July 2nd, 1930 in the city of San Juan De Guadalupe, Durango, Mexico. After a long fought battle with Alzheimers Dementia, Isabel is survived by her children: Martha, Maria, Jose Lyn, Juan, Cuca and Veronica. She leaves 22 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Although Isabel Had a rough up bringing She thrived for a better life. With only two years of elementary school. At the age of 26, she left Mexico for a better life in America on May 26, 1966. Isabel “Chavelita” found the love of her life and wed Woodrow Wilson Hicks in 1973. After 10 beautiful years Woody passed and left behind this extraordinary woman. Isabel was a very hard-working, outgoing, family oriented woman who loved to dance. Her one true passion were her birds. A service will be held June 9th, 2019 from 12-4 at Oakdale Memorial in Glendora.
