David Dave Theodore Ofeldt

David was the oldest child of Kenneth Ofeldt and Elise Milne and known to his family and friends as Dave Dave is survived by his wife of 41 years, Barbara, six children, Christopher, Joseph, Deborah, David, Robert, and Kevin. His family also consisted of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dave loved country music, old time movies, boating, fishing and camping. While working in the security industry, Dave firmly believed in treating others the way he wanted to be treated. He was Captain of security at St. Cloud Regional Hospital and then transferred to the Loop Shopping Center in Kissimmee. Dave always saw the good in everyone and would lend a hand to all. He would always make you smile and laugh and will surely be missed by all. He fought his cancer with pride and strength successfully completing his chemotherapy and ringing the bell. Even in his passing, Dave continues to help others by donating his corneas, giving sight to someone else and permitting Moffitt Cancer Center to use biopsies for research in small cell lung cancer. David’s celebration of life will be held from 3-7 pm on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Gotha.
