Donna Hackworth

In Memoriam of Donna Hackworth Donna Hackworth passed away peacefully in her home at Grand Blanc, Michigan on Saturday, May 11, 2019. As she passed away, she was comforted by both of her sons, Gary from Barcelona, Spain, and Terry from Austin, Texas. Donna was born on July 27, 1937 in Hilliard, Ohio and lived in Michigan and Canada.. Although Donna was a private person, she was a strong and vibrant woman, who was active in her community and traveled the world with curiosity and passion. Donna sponsored many international students from around the world for continued studies in the US and in particular, the Suarez family from Costa Rica and the Hernando family from Argentina, who became an extension of her intimate family circle. Donna's generosity knew no bounds and was very giving of her time and volunteered more than 25 years at Ascension Genesis Hospital in Grand Blanc Township. She was an honorary member of the Warwick Hill Golf and Country Club and frequently hosted golf and charity events at her home. Donna was a caregiver and confidant to many throughout her life and was unconditional in her support of her friends and their families. When she could lovingly serve them with her strength and abundant grace, everyone was personally touched by Donna's warmth and giving nature. Donna paid attention to life's details and had time to prepare herself, her family, and friends for her goodbyes. She will always remain strong in our hearts and dearly missed. She is survived by her loving sister, Sharon Reisult and her brother, Ron McBrayer. The family will be mourning privately and they will have a celebration of life on her birthday July 27, 2019.
