Lt. Colonel “Rich” Green, age 74, was a retired Vietnam veteran (USMC), who died in Grants
Pass, Oregon, on August 25, 2019. He was from Oregon, but had a long military career that took
him and his family all over and then returned back to Oregon in his retirement.
He had two marriages, the first was to Jaqueline Nasmyth and the couple had two children
together; and the second was to Elizabeth Leon Guerrero. Rich and Lisa were heavily involved
with the local chapter of the Moose Lodge. Rich was an avid sailor and sailed his family to multiple destinations, including the Bahamas and sailing through the Bermuda Triangle to Bermuda.
He loved animals and housed five dogs and three cats at the time of his death.
Survivors include siblings, Grace LaPlante, Bill Green, Charlotte Johnston; two daughters,
Darcy Conaway and Debby Cruz; two stepchildren, Mona-Lisa Leon Guerrero and Frank
Cushing; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, a sister, and a brother.
Rich will be laid to rest at Eagle Point Nation Cemetery on
Friday, August 30, 2019 at 11 a.m.
