Wilma Alice Babb

Wilma Alice Babb, 76, formerly of Walkertown Community, passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2019, at Laughlin Health Care Center. She was retired from Greene Valley Developmental Center after 35 years of service. She was a member of Union Temple United Methodist Church and attended as long as her health permitted. She was active in all activities of the church. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: Terry and Nila Babb of Afton, Walkertown Community; one grandson: Ryan Babb of Chuckey; twin sister: Bonnie Hensley of Limestone; nieces and nephews; and special friends: Harold and Faye Roberts, Mindy Woods, and Angie Bunch. She was the daughter of the late Clarence and Pearl Ricker and was preceded in death by her husband: Bobby Gene Babb; and a brother: Ross Ricker. The family will receive friends Friday from 2-4 and 5-7 pm at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 7:00 pm in the Chapel of Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Bowers officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 am Saturday in Union Temple Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at 10:00 am Saturday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery. Pallbearers will be Harold Roberts, Ryan Babb, Chris Knupp, George Bowers, Daniel Wedding, and Jeff Craft. Honorary pallbearers are nurses and staff of Laughlin Health Care and Ballad Health Hospice.
