Dragica Sopcic

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Dragica on January 31, 2019 in her 66th year. Beloved wife to Ivan for 46 years. Adored mother to Maryann Fabrizio (Marco) and Nicholas Sopcic (Serena). Cherished Baka to Matthew, Nicholas, David and Jason. Predeceased by her parents Mile and Mare Pocrnic. Loving sister to Mary Rukavina (Ivan), Ankica Boros (Janko) and sister-in-law to Mary Ribaric (Joe) and daughter-in-law to Dragica Rahija. Loving aunt Dada to many nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed by extended family and friends in Canada and Croatia. Dragica was an active member of the Croatian National Home, CNH Golden Girls, Holy Cross Croatian Parish, Church Choir and Catholic Women's Leauge. She will be remembered for her devotion to her family and Croatian community. Dragica had a huge heart and a kind word for everyone she met. She will be remembered for her contagious laugh and beautiful smile. As expressions of sympathy, donations can be made to the CNH Building Fund in Dragica's memory. Visitation will be held at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street E. (at Kenilworth) on Sunday, February 3rd from 2-4pm and 6-9pm. Vigil Prayers to be said at 7:30pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Croatian Church, 1883 King Street E. on Monday, February 4th at 9:30am. Interment to follow at Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery.
