Robert "Flip" Floyd

Peacefully at the Hamilton General Hospital on Friday, November 16, 2018 at the age of 90. Beloved husband of the late Rita “Sis” Floyd; dear brother of Murray J. Floyd (Bess) and Joanne Dulke. Predeceased by brothers Russell, William and Samuel, and sister Isobel. Flip will be sadly missed by his many loving nieces, nephews, and other family members. Flip proudly served in the Korean War with the Royal Canadian Regiment and was an active member of the Korea Veterans’ Association as well as the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 36, Dundas. Donations to the Korea Veterans’ Association of Canada would be much appreciated. In keeping with Flip’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Interment to take place alongside his wife Rita in Nova Scotia. A memorial service will be held at the Truscott, Brown & Dwyer Funeral Chapel, 1309 King Street East (across from Gage Park at the Delta) on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 1 p.m. Donations to the Korea Veterans’ Association of Canada would be much appreciated. Flip is finally re-united with Rita, the love of his life.
