Patrick F. Feely

Bossier City, LA – Funeral services will be held for Patrick Francis Feely at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at St. Jude Catholic Church in Benton, LA with Father Karl Daigle officiating. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at 9:30 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Patrick was born in Boyle, Ireland on January 28, 1936. His career path as a priest lead him to the United States where he joined the Air Force as a chaplain and retired as a Colonel after 22 years of service. He went to work for Corporate Express as a courier for several years until he chose to enjoy his retirement. He enjoyed music and travel. He and his wife, Jackie visited Ireland five times. They made several trips to Florida and the east coast. He was preceded in death by his parents, Christopher and Florence King Feely. Patrick is survived by his wife, Jackie Feely; son, Jerry Gordon of Mississippi; daughter, Shelia Shackleford of Kentucky; sisters, Patricia Hopkins, Mary Gannon and Floss Mitchell, all of Ireland; brother, Brandan Feely and wife Marge of New York; grandchildren, Cody Shackleford and wife Sarah of Kentucky, Chelsea Rich and husband Daniel of Bossier City and Katie Gordon of Mississippi; great grandchildren, Sophia Shackleford of Kentucky, Guy Rich of Bossier City and Donavan and Dylan of Mississippi as well as 10 nieces and nephews and many extended family members and loved ones. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Dickens, Nathan Hardin, Justin Hardin, Donnie Collida, Jerry Gordon and Daniel Rich. Honorary pallbearer will be Cody Shackleford.
