Mary Lee Bean

Mary Lee Bean, 85, of Hixson, Tennessee and grew up in North Chattanooga passed away on August 5, 2019. She was a member of Hixson Presbyterian Church and loved reading. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mary Huff; sister, Dot Luke and husband, Donald M. Bean. She is survived by her children, Lynne (Robert) Doherty and Alan (Bonnie) Bean; grandchildren, Colin and Erin Bean; siblings, Maggie Watson, Betty Smith, Barbara Henry, Glenda Akins, Jeanette Williams, Louise Jones and Bobby Huff; numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 7625 Hamilton Park Dr # 6, Chattanooga, TN 37421 or the Kidney Foundation, 2300 E 3rd St suite b, Chattanooga, TN 37404. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 from 4 pm to 8 pm at Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2019 at 11 am at the funeral home with burial to follow at Chattanooga Memorial Park. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be the Prime Timers at Hixson Presbyterian Church.
