Norma V. Lavender

Norma V. Lavender, of Chattanooga, Tennessee passed away on October 3, 2019. She was a member of Central Church of Christ. Norma was retired from Vermillion Bay Land Company and was an active member of the Chattanooga Symphony Guild. She is preceded in death by her parents, T.D. and Alma Vaughan. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Ted Lavender; sister, Carolyn Cornett; sister-in-law, Nancy Johnson; niece, Caren Johnson Mims (Scott); nephew, Brant Ted Johnson (Susan); cousin, Martha (Charlie) McDowell and special friend, Kenneth (Kimberly) Byerley. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Central Church of Christ, 400 Vine Street, Chattanooga, TN 37403. A visitation will be held from 12 pm to 2 pm on Monday, October 7, 2019 at Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel with the funeral service being held immediately after at 2 pm with Minister David Schonhoff officiating. Burial will be held at Hamilton Memorial Gardens following the funeral service.
