Alpha Christine Harrison

Alpha Christine Howard Harrison passed away as a result of a fall early in the morning of August 4th 2019. Alpha Christine Howard Harrison was born in Coahoma, TX, January 26, 1928 to Elmer B. Howard and Amanda Lilian Sims Howard. She moved to Dexter, NM in 1932. She and her sister Ruby Helen Howard Hay attended Dexter schools until they moved to the Tweety Farms and Roswell schools in 1940. Christine graduated from Roswell High School in 1947 as Salutatorian. On June 26, 1949 she married Wandal Lee Harrison. They had 68 happy years together all spent in Roswell with the exception of the last two months when they were in Spring, TX for Lee’s medical needs where Lee passed in November of 2017. Christine is survived by her two sons, David and his wife Jan of Lubbock, TX, son Nathan and his wife Jaquelyn of Spring, TX. Grandsons Benjamin and his wife Heather of Henderson, TX, Jim and his wife Anne of Holiday, TX, John and his wife Mary of Pasadena, TX, Luke and his wife Amanda of Atascocita, TX and Samuel and his wife Stephanie of Prosper, TX, Great-grandchildren Jeremiah, Coleman, Travis, Lance, Dani Ann, Tyler, Evan, Audrey, Christopher and Elijah. She was preceded in death by her husband Lee, parents Elmer and Amanda, sister Ruby, great-grandson Wandal, great-granddaughter Charlotte and Niece Karen. Christine love her family. They were the most important thing in her life other than her faith and her love for Jesus Christ. She enjoyed gardening, hand work and being with family and friends. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, the Chaparral Rock Hounds, Cactus Sam’s Club, a bible study group, and a special coffee group. She worked for Smith Machinery for 14 years and Roswell Schools for 22 years. She reluctantly moved to Spring, Texas for the last 26 months of her life.
