Alexander Mitrokostas

Alexander Mitrokostas, 94, of West Yarmouth, died peacefully at home on Thursday, September 5, 2019 with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of 60 years to Ecaterini (Litsis) Mitrokostas. Alexander was born in the village of Krapsi, Epirus in Greece. He came to the United States in 1955 and settled in Worcester, MA where he met his loving wife Ecaterini. Alexander was the co-founder with his brother and business partner of 40 years of New England Pizza in Hyannis. After his retirement in 1993, he relished spending time with all of his grandchildren and hosting large family gatherings. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons Spyro Mitrokostas and wife Krista Mitrokostas of West Yarmouth, MA, Dino Mitrokostas of Mashpee, MA, Paul Mitrokostas and wife Shari Prussin Mitrokostas of Wellesley, MA; his sister Antigone Malitas of Harwich, MA and his nine beloved grandchildren. He is predeceased by his brothers Christos and Vasilios Mitrokostas. Visitation will be held Sunday, September 8th from 4 to 7PM at Doane, Beal & Ames, 160 W. Main St. Hyannis, MA. Funeral Services will take place at 10AM on Monday, September 9th at the St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 1130 Falmouth Rd, Centerville, MA. A committal service will follow at Mosswood Cemetery in Cotuit, MA.
