MacIsaac Karel It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our dear brother and uncle Karel MacIsaac, age 63, of Halifax, on December 3, 2018. Born in Inverness, on January, 13, 1955 to the late Colin Dan and Katie Anne (MacNeil) MacIsaac. He is survived by his sisters, Mary Gillis (James, deceased), Dartmouth; Lorraine Rocheleau (Andre), Halifax; brothers, Michael (Marion), Inverness, twin brother Kevin (Margie ), Dunvegan and Bernie (Rose Anne), Halifax; along with 11 nieces and nephews, 9 grandnieces and grandnephews, and many cousins and friends for whom he had a special place in his heart. He is predeceased by three siblings in infancy and sister-in-law Sherri-Lee McDaniel; Stepmother, Annie Josephine MacIsaac. Karel worked in various locations and jobs across Canada, including iron worker, tile setter, labourer and for Toronto Hydro. Over the past 20 years he resided in Halifax putting his diverse handyman skills to work mainly within building maintenance. Karel was an avid Detroit Red Wings fan, loved cooking, visiting the library, and doing crossword puzzles, especially the weekly Lexicon. He was very gentle, kind-hearted soul with a soft spot for his family. His surprise appearances and gregarious laughter will be missed dearly at family gatherings. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 9th, in Inverness Funeral Home from2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held in St. Margaret of Scotland Church, Broad Cove, on Monday, December 10th at 11:00 a.m. with FR. Dan MacDonald officiating. Burial to follow in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St Margaret of Scotland Roof Fund, Broad Cove.
