Paula Mary Malenfant

Malenfant, Paula Mary. From Inverness, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2019, at the age of 70. She was the daughter of Joseph and Elisabeth Florence Beaton and was pre-deceased by twin sister, Pauline. Paula leaves behind her beloved husband, Jack and cherished sons, Michel (Sophie), Steven (Stephanie) and David (Gail); along with adoring grandchildren, Cassidy, Sabrina, Gabrielle, Olivia, Kylee, and Tyler. Paula also leaves behind many loving friends and extended family. Paula went to school in Inverness and Mabou and then headed to Halifax to complete her nursing degree. This is where she got her first job as a nurse and met the love of her life, Jack. After they married, Paula left her home to follow Jack and travelled with their children, living in different parts of Canada. She always wanted to come home to Inverness and was finally able to once her husband retired. Paula then worked at the Inverary Manor, as a nurse, where she loved serving others and making sure they were well looked after. Due to health issues, she was forced to leave her beloved job. Visitation will be held at the Stella Maris Church, 47 Upper Railway St., Inverness on Monday, April 15th, from 10-10:45 a.m. with Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. Following the service, the family would like to invite friends and extended family to join them in the Inverness Firehall as we gather for a Celebration of Life.
