Dennis Roger Byrd

Dennis Roger Byrd, age 22 of Medon, passed away unexpectedly Sunday evening, May 26, 2019. He was born February 20, 1997 in Jackson, TN to Troy and Jennifer Byrd. He graduated from South Side High School in 2015. He served in the Junior Naval R.O.T.C. all four years of high school. He graduated with a rank of Chief Petty Officer. He had a wide range of hobbies and interests. Reading, Gaming of all kinds, Judo, Outdoor Activities (i.e. camping, hiking, etc.), just to name a few. He is survived by his fiancee: Rheajealyn (Rhea) Dumot of Medon, TN; Parents: Troy and Jennifer Byrd of Hermitage, TN; Sister and Brother - in- Law, Dallas and Kailyn Bates (Michael and Jonathan) of Cedar Grove, TN; Brother, John Byrd of Hermitage,TN; grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. The family will receive friends and loved ones from 1-6 pm at the Medon Community Center on Saturday, June 1, 2019. There will be a memorial service held at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.
