JOHN FRANCIS NEARY, 90 yrs.
It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of John Neary on Friday, January 25, 2019 at the Kelowna General Hospital.
John is survived by his loving wife Margaret of 63 years, and children Cathy (Keith), Patrick, Thomas (Gaylene), Brian (Lucia), Laura (Kelly), Kevin, Sharon (Deryk) and many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren.
John loved sunshine, reading, gardening, growing his own potatoes, and always had an active mind until his last breath. His Irish roots ran deep, while his brogue remained after almost 70 years in Canada.
A Prayer Service will be held on Friday, February 1st at 7:00 pm at Valleyview Funeral Home, 165 Valleyview Road, Kelowna, BC. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in memory of John on Saturday, February 2nd at 11:00 a.m. at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 750 Rutland Road N., Kelowna, BC, with Fr. Patrick Monette presiding. Interment to follow at St. Theresa's Cemetery, Sexsmith Road, Kelowna, BC
