Aurele Portier December 4, 1941 – February 22, 2018 Aurele Portier - a resident of Kenora, Ontario passed away suddenly on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at the age of 76. He was predeceased by his parents George and Eileen Portier, his grandparents, uncles Bert Honeysett, Frank and Billy Creed, aunts Phyllis Kitt and Madeline Attrux and sister Doreen Foster. He is survived by his brother Aime, his nephew Kert (Karen) Foster, uncles Phil (Helen) Creed and Les Creed and aunts Marcelle White and Rose Honeysett. He is also survived by his partner of 40 years Doris Roemer and all of the Roemer family. He will also be missed by special friends Andrew and Julia Wagenaar. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends too numerous to mention. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 16, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church with Father Rudy Manaloto officiating. Interment will follow at the Lake of the Woods Cemetery.
