Bradley Stevens

On June 7th, 2019, with his two loving boys at his side, Bradley Charles Stevens went on to meet “the big guy upstairs.” Brad was born in Kenora on January.2nd 1953, and grew up in Minaki, and later moved to Kenora. Where he had the opportunity to work at the Boise Cascade Canada Mill, as a paper - maker. “Cripp” manned his post on the paper machines, until his retirement in 2006, after 33 years on the job. Brad was a kind, simple and proud man. Once you got him started on a subject that really mattered to him, you best be ready for his opinion; as he was going to offer it. Brad always loved to remanence about the good ole days, and excited to share stories. You always knew it was one of his favorites, when he would get that twinkle in his eye, great big grin on his face and hear his jolly chuckle-laugh. Brad loved the outdoor lifestyle, especially when it came to hunting, fishing, boating, quadding and sledding. He had many great times making memories with family and friends enjoying trips to camp and out on the lake. Brad’s proudest life accomplishments, however, were his two sons, and grandson. His boys meant the world to him, and he would always be talking about how he couldn’t be prouder of the men they have become. Brad was predeceased by his parents Jack and Monica; his infant son Robbie, and grand-dog Sledge. To live on his life legacy and the Stevens name are his sons Christopher (Jen; grandson Ryder, grand-dogs Jax and Timber); and Jeffrey (Brandi; grand-dogs Kona and Foxy). He also leaves behind his sisters: Jackie (Rick) Default, Linda (Gene) Clifford, and Patricia Watson; Nieces: Cindy, Cheryl, Colleen; Nephews: Dusty and Patrick, as well as numerous friends he made over the years. The family would like to send a special thank-you to the Default’s and Neufeld’s, especially over this last year. As well as the staff on the 3rd floor at the LWDH, Dr. Brad Kyle and Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Centre for all the care and compassion you offered to Brad and his family. As per Brad’s wishes there will be no funeral, but a small gathering with glasses raised in his honour.
