David Meeseewaypetung November 11, 1951 – December 28, 2018 David Meeseewaypetung passed away at his residence in Grassy Narrows First Nation on Friday, December 28, 2018. He was predeceased by his parents Jessie and Thomas Meeseewaypetung, his sons Howard and David Assin. As well as brothers and sisters William, Jimmy, Agnes and Jane Meeseewaypetung and Mary Loon, as well as many cousins too numerous to mention. He is survived by nieces and nephews Ginny Loon, Kenny, Freddy, Randall, Clyde, Ambrose and Benny Meeseewaypetung, Irwin, Charlotte, Harold and Lawrence Loon, Chris, Mary Ann, Mariah, Lillian, Clifford, Dallas and Douglas Swain, Sarah Tremblay, Melva Meeseewaypetung and Michelle McPherson. Cousins Louise Bernard, Betty Loon, Barney and Rudy Turtle, Robert Swain, Ivy, Larry and Andrew Keewatin, Sandra and David Sneaky. As well as brother in laws Louie Assin, Roy Assin, Fred Land Sr. and Jerry Land. His grandchildren Zachary Powassin, Janice Assin, Ashley, Chasity, Maybelline, Tasha, Vincent, Lyle and Candice Loon, Kenneth, Toby, Maggie, Griffin and Clyde Meeseewaypetung, Nicole and Neil Keesick. He enjoyed guiding, hunting, fishing and outdoors activities. He also enjoyed joking around with his friends. He loved and enjoyed spending time with all of his grandchildren. Wake Service will be held at the Minnowsaywin Building on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at 1:00 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Frank Kowal officiating. Interment will follow in Grassy Narrows First Nation.
