David Schneider

Dave Schneider, 65, of Minaki Ontario, died suddenly on March 30th, 2019, in the place he loved the most. He was born to Phyllis and Sam, on February 1st, 1954 in Winnipeg. He left at the age of 18 to start his life’s adventures. He leaves behind the love of his life, Jane Campbell, and his sons Andy (Petra), and Kevin (Meg). Dave touched many lives in Minaki and the entire community will feel his loss. Saying that Dave had a love of the outdoors would be an understatement. He loved to share in all the beauty and wonderment that this land had to offer. His limitless enthusiasm and open mindedness drew people to him; he could find common ground with anyone he met. From hunting trips, to job sites, to campfires, to family dinners, a silly joke was never far from his mind. Dave created opportunity around every corner, every day was a new business venture. Dave will forever be remembered as a fiercely loving father and a legend in Minaki. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday the 7th of April at 1:00 pm at Gunn Lake Lodge in Minaki.
